Tsavo National Park, divided into Tsavo East and Tsavo West, is Kenya’s largest national park, covering over 22,000 square kilometers. Established in 1948, it is located in southeastern Kenya, stretching from the coastal region near Mombasa to the interior of Taita-Taveta County. The park is named after the Tsavo River, which flows through both sections.
Tsavo is famous for its diverse landscapes, rich wildlife, and historical significance, including the legendary “Man-Eaters of Tsavo”, a pair of lions that terrorized railway workers in the 19th century.
