Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest and oldest national park, located in the northwestern part of the country. Established in 1952, it spans over 3,800 square kilometers and is named after the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the mighty River Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge and plunges 43 meters below, creating one of the most powerful waterfalls on Earth.

The park is part of the larger Murchison Falls Conservation Area, which includes Bugungu and Karuma wildlife reserves. It boasts rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery, attracting visitors from around the world.
